Fawn officials are looking for a resident to fill a vacancy on the board of supervisors after Paula Legge resigned.
Legge was elected in 2022 to a six-year term.
“I don’t feel I’m able to do the job I was elected to do,” Legge said when contacted by phone.
“I just feel it’s in my best interest.”
She declined further comment on her resignation, which supervisors accepted during their meeting May 12.
Residents who have lived in the township for at least a year and are interested in serving as a supervisor can submit a letter of interest by June 1 to fawntwp@comcast.net.
Legge, owner of Paula’s Wholesale Furniture on Ekastown Road, had about 18 months left on her term. The person appointed would serve through 2027.
Legge encouraged residents to attend the monthly meetings to be engaged in township operations.
“It would be nice if residents attended an occasional meeting so they were up to date on what’s happening,” she said.
Supervisors meet next for an agenda meeting at 6 p.m. June 2 at the township building on Howes Run Road.
