The opportunity to shop and stroll through a historic village that dates back to the 18th century has returned.

The Hanna’s Town farmers market season will begin Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring about 60 local vendors.

“We’ve got a great list of vendors we’re looking to support this season,” wrote Jessica Hickey, founder and director of the Downtown Greensburg Project.

“The market, run by the Downtown Greensburg Project, will host a number of farmers, producers, growers, bakers and a small number of makers at each date,” Hickey wrote.

Vendors Saturday will include returning businesses The Pickled Chef, Out of the Fire Cafe, Pleasant Lane Farms, Sand Hill Berries and JP’s Farmers Market, among several new sellers, according to Hickey.

The weather is forecasted to be rainy this weekend and visitors are cautioned that the field hosting the market may become muddy.

Future dates for the market include June 6, 20 and 27; July 18; Aug. 1 and 22; Sept. 5 and 19; and Oct. 3 and 17.

The market will be held at 809 Forbes Trail Road in Hempfield with parking available in the upper field.
