Across Pittsburgh, spray parks and playgrounds with spray features are set to open over Memorial Day weekend.

All spray parks will be open starting Saturday through mid-September, with the hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily — weather permitting.

There are nine spray park locations across Pittsburgh, including:

  • Arlington at 1523 Fernleaf St. in Arlington Playground
  • Beechview at 1295 Orangewood Ave. in Vanucci Playground
  • Burgwin at 328 Mansion St. in Burgwin Playgroun/Burgwin Field
  • Chartiers at 3793 Chartiers Ave. in Chartiers Park
  • East Hills at 2300 Wilner Dr. in East Hills Park

  • Shadyside at 6601 Fifth Ave. in Mellon Park
  • Troy Hill at 1200 Goettmann St. in Cowley Playground

The City of Pittsburgh said spray parks are accessible to kids of all ages.

“You do not need swimming skills to enjoy our spray parks,” according to the city’s website. “It’s guaranteed to bring back memories of running through sprinklers, but this time with a lot more fun, color and movement.”

In the spray parks, sensors cause different water sprayers to turn on and off, creating a 3D water experience.
