Spring Wine Festival

Sip and dance your way through Memorial Day weekend at the Yinzer Valley Farms Spring Wine Festival. This is a great chance to sample beverages from more than two dozen wineries, breweries and distilleries, with a lot more in store.

You can also grab food from a variety of options, shop a market full of vendors including Glass Jewelry By Ashley, Lakeshore Creations and Rustic Klass Boutique and enjoy live entertainment throughout the day.

Latrobe Art Center Week of Kindness

Taking a page out of the book of Fred Rogers, Latrobe Art Center has carried out its sixth annual Week of Kindness. It will be over after Friday, so make sure to head over as soon as possible.

At the Art Center, you can pick up your “You’ve Been Fred Roger-ed” card. Then, go out into the world and find a place where you can do an act of kindness — and then take a photo, leave your card with the people you’ve helped and watch as the kindness spreads.

Fort Ligonier 18th-century military encampment weekend

Memorial Day is for remembering the service of generations of military members. At Fort Ligonier, they’re remembering what it was like during the war centuries ago with this weekend of interpretation and history.

This is your chance to see firsthand the life of a soldier in the 1700s living and working at Fort Ligonier and similar locations. Historical interpreters will demonstrate and teach about life during the Seven Years’ War and the American Revolution.

Irwin Farm Market Opening Day

As summer approaches, so comes delicious produce from the region’s farms. That means it’s time to head to the Irwin Farm Market to get fresh, local goods to bring home and cook.

And it’s not just about produce. There will also be beautiful flowers, mouth-watering baked goods and local crafters bringing their wares for sale to the market. There will also be food trucks on site, in case you’re still hungry.
