A man was rescued from a precarious situation on scaffolding Thursday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s Brookline neighborhood.

Pittsburgh police were dispatched just before 2 p.m. to Castlegate and Woodbourne avenues for reports of “an unconscious male in his 50s” dangling from the scaffolding.

After a rescue using a rope system through an open apartment window, the man was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

The patient was alert, conscious and talking during transport to the hospital, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
