Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby recorded an assist for Canada, which defeated Slovenia, 3-1, during a preliminary round game in the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) World Championship tournament at BCF Arena in Fribourg, Switzerland, on Friday.
Opening the contest on the left wing of the top line, Crosby logged 16:04 of ice time and had one shot.
Penguins defenseman Parker Wotherspoon started the game on the left side of Canada’s top pairing and clocked 14:51 of ice time on 19 shifts while recording one shot.
