Water, sun and competition are coming to Pittsburgh Brewing Co. during the second annual Iron City Rockin’ Regatta.
Hosted on June 6 and 7 in partnership with Three Rivers Outboard Racing Association, the East Deer brewery campus will transform into the river racing spot for some of the region’s top outboard racers.
The event will feature American Power Boat Association-sanctioned racing on a 0.9-mile course on the Allegheny River beginning and ending in front of the brewery. Racers will compete in three-lap heats and will reach top speeds of more than 70 mph in a flying-start format. Three categories — junior class, stock class and modified class hydroplanes — will be competing between Saturday and Sunday.
“As we build on the momentum from our first Rockin’ Regatta, we’re excited to bring even more competitive racing to the river,” Scott Miller, commodore of Three Rivers Outboard Racing Association, said in a statement from the brewery. “We expect an even bigger turnout in 2026, with drivers traveling from across the region and beyond.”
Racing will start Saturday at noon with competitors from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, New England and Canada going head to head for the 2026 American Power Boat Association Modified Eastern Divisional Championship.
American Power Boat Association North American Championship Special Events will be hosted Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.
“Rockin’ Regatta highlights the grassroots spirit of powerboat racing while delivering a high-energy, family-friendly experience,” the brewery’s statement said.
Guests will be able to see vintage and modern outboards, and watch river demonstrations throughout the weekend.
