The start of the district softball playoffs did not wreak havoc on state teams like the baseball postseason did.
Only six teams lost their spot in the Trib HSSN Top 5 a little over a week before the start of the PIAA softball playoffs.
The top-ranked teams remained the same from last week with Central Dauphin in 6A, Shaler in 5A, Kennard-Dale in 4A, Sharon in 3A, West Shamokin in 2A and Union in Class A still at No. 1.
