The district playoffs have not been kind to the power-ranked teams from the end of the regular season.

Six were knocked out in the last two rounds of the WPIAL baseball playoffs and four are gone from the Trib 10 from the quarterfinals and semifinals in softball.

This brings us to the district championship edition of the Trib 10 power rankings where only WPIAL finalists are invited to this party.

Who of the power-ranked teams will come away with gold from EQT Park in Washington and Lilley Field in California next week?

It’s been a while now, but the top power-ranked teams remain the same with Butler in baseball and Shaler in softball.

Here are the latest power rankings for the 2026 season. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking.
