Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby recorded an assist for Canada during a 5-1 win against Slovakia in a preliminary round game of the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) World Championship tournament at BCF Arena in Fribourg, Switzerland, on Sunday.

Opening play on the left wing of the top line, Crosby logged 14:22 of ice time on 18 shifts.

Penguins defenseman Parker Wotherspoon started the contest on the left side of Canada’s top pairing and clocked 15:59 of ice time on 19 shifts.
