Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tommy Novak recorded five assists for the United States in a 7-3 win against Hungary during a preliminary round contest in the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) World Championship tournament at Swiss Life Arena in Zurich on Monday.

Opening play as the fourth-line center, Novak logged 15:02 of ice time on 16 shifts and was 6 for 9 (66.6%) on faceoffs.

Penguins defenseman Connor Clifton started the contest on the right side of the United States’ third pairing and clocked 14:47 of ice time on 19 shifts.
