The WPIAL softball playoffs will start in a rain delay.
The district bumped back its three championship games scheduled for Wednesday at Lilley Field at Cal (Pa.) due to rainy weather.
The Class 2A game between Neshannock and Bentworth is now scheduled to start at 1 p.m., followed by the Class 5A game between Shaler and North Hills at 3 p.m. and the Class 6A game between Hempfield and Seneca Valley at 5 p.m.
There has been no adjustment made to the start times for Wednesday’s baseball games at EQT Field in Washington. The Class 3A game between South Park and Ellwood City is still set for 1 p.m. followed by the Class 6A game between Butler and North Allegheny at 4 p.m. and Class 5A game between Upper St. Clair and South Fayette at 7 p.m.
