Latrobe theater troupe will host ‘An Evening of Comic One-Acts’

StoryZ Studios will host “An Evening of Comic One-Acts” at 7:30 p.m. June 12 and 13 and 2 p.m. June 14 in Latrobe.

In George Bernard Shaw’s “Augustus Does His Bit,” an official with an overinflated ego fails spectacularly while trying to prove his importance.

In Gary Rogers’ “Lose Not Thy Head,” an overworked executioner, a possibly-fake William Shakespeare and a chatty severed head turn a prison’s death row into a comedy club.

The show will take place at St. Stephen’s AME Church, 19 Oak St. in Latrobe.

Tickets are $20/$10 for students and seniors, and will be available at the door or by going to StoryzStudios.org. Use the promo code “STUSEN” for a discount.
