Rock the Lamp

Turn out for this tuneful fundraiser for the Lamp Theatre in Irwin. The event will have everything you want in a night out — and it’s all for a good cause.

The tickets include an evening of live entertainment, games, raffles, food, activities and more. Performers will be Darryl & Kim, Shiva Skydriver and Jack Wilder, plus other surprise guests. The Lamp is a nonprofit theater, so fundraisers like these go a long way to helping to keep this community staple going.

Greensburg Vintage Market

Rewind the clock with this delightful market at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art. Find lots of great retro goods from collectibles to clothes to antiques to upcycled items. There will also be local floral vendors and food vendors, along with some of your favorite crafters and makers, to add a homemade and handmade touch.

The market — which is presented by the museum and the Greensburg Night Market — will take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 N. Main St., Greensburg. The event is free, and no pre-registration is required. See the details at thewestmoreland.org.

‘Anastasia: The Musical’

If you remember the ’90s animated film “Anastasia” starring the voices of Meg Ryan and John Cusack, this musical is for you. Based on the story of the missing Russian princess Anastasia, this musical is full of dazzling scenes, catchy songs and a timeless love story.

The show is produced by Stage Right and will be a great experience for theatergoers of all ages. Performances will be held Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., as well as Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. all at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road, Greensburg. Best of Broadway

Maybe you’re interested in seeing a show but your interests are a little broader. In that case, check out “Best of Broadway,” a show from the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra. You’ll hear all your Broadway showtune favorites from musicals including “Oklahoma!” and “The Sound of Music.”

The show will also feature vocal performances from Rebecca Kaufman Taylor, Anthony Massetto, Deana Muro, Daniel Nuttall, Becki Toth, Katy Williams and Rich Williams.

Strawberry festival

As we hit late spring, strawberries are in season throughout th region. Who doesn’t love biting into a juicy strawberry? This weekend, the Youngwood Lions Club will be celebrating the delicious little berry with a festival.

The Youngwood Lions Club will hold their Strawberry Festival on Friday, with strawberries, ice cream, cake and more. They will also sell hot dogs separately so that you can have something savory with the sweet treats.

The festival will be held at Christ Church, 100 Lincoln St., Youngwood. Tickets are $9 with half-price tickets for kids 12 and under. The festival will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets will be sold at the door, and proceeds benefit the Youngwood Library.
