Golf tournament to honor late Saxonburg police chief

The fourth annual Chief Gregory Adams Memorial Golf Tournament will be June 19 at Saxon Golf Club, 839 Ekastown Road, Clinton Township.

The shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. There will be food, competitions, a silent auction, 50-50 and more. Cost is $110 per golfer and the business division is $525 per team. Sponsorships are available.

Jeep show planned Sunday at Lower Burrell VFW

The annual P-Dawg Jeep Show will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lower Burrell Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1601 Wildlife Lodge Road.

Vehicle registration is $10. Classes include superstock, stock, vintage and creampuff and cash prizes and trophies will be awarded. For registration, visit p-dawg.org.

Spectator admission is free and there will be music by Curtis and the Shakertz, food and beer trucks, a basket raffle and rubber duck race.

Sponsored by AKV Back the Blue and the Sgt. Vinson A. Pelisari Jr. Memorial Fund, the event has raised over $7,500 for veterans charities and local food banks.
