More details have not been announced.

South Side block party plans

Planning of weekly block parties on Pittsburgh’s South Side is underway, being led by members of the South Side Hospitality Partnership, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.

Organizers said the event would serve as an effort to improve the South Side’s image from unruly crowds and danger. Residents, community advocates and business owners told TribLive last year that they were embarking on a concerted effort to rebrand the neighborhood known for its bar and nightlife.
