Former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Dominik Kahun has joined EHC Munchen in Germany’s Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL).

That team announced the transaction via a release Friday. Kahun previously played for EHC Munchen over four seasons in the mid-2010s.

A native of Czechia who grew up in Germany, Kahun, 30, spent this past season with Lausanne HC in Switzerland’s National League. Appearing in 29 games for that club, Kahun scored 13 points (five goals, eight assists).

Kahun spent part of one season with the Penguins in 2019-20. Over 50 games with the Penguins, Kahun scored 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists).

In addition to the Penguins, Kahun’s NHL career also saw him suit up for the Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres and Edmonton Oilers.
