Pat Narduzzi posting his trademark “PITT IS IT” on social media platform X is routinely an indicator that the Panthers are about to land a new commitment.
When Narduzzi posted that a whopping eight times Friday, it signaled a massive recruiting weekend for Pitt.
With plenty more additions to the Class of 2027 expected to be announced soon, the first did roll in Friday, when Pitt landed three-star tight end Max Patterson.
A 6-foot-6, 230-pound prospect from Suwanee, Ga., Patterson made his announcement on Instagram.

He becomes the 10th verbal commitment in Pitt’s 2027 recruiting class, and the second tight end, following Ryker Reynolds of La Porte, Texas.
Patterson chose Pitt from other scholarship options including Arkansas, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ohio State and many more, per his 247Sports page.
247Sports also ranks Patterson as the No. 35 tight end in the nation within his class.
