The Wheeling Nailers’ season came to an end with a 6-1 loss to the Florida Everblades in Game 5 of the ECHL’s Eastern Conference final at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va., on Saturday.
Florida won the best-of-seven series, 4-1.
Forward Nolan Renwick scored Wheeling’s lone goal.
Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 21 saves on 27 shots as he finished the postseason with a 9-8 record.
