The Jeannette Food Trucks and Concerts series is back for the summer, with the first event on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Sky Pilot will hit the stage at Ebara Elliott Group Amphitheater on Clay Avenue.
There will be a twist on this year’s series, as vendors will join food trucks lined along the 400 and 500 blocks of Clay Avenue. The concert series is a result of a partnership between the Jeannette Business Association and Jeannette Initiative.
The addition of the vendors will give visitors a taste of the unique commerce in Jeannette, officials said, and allow the event to grow.
“We think many will be pleasantly surprised by the expanded scope, new faces and greater variety of food, vendors and local business participants,” said Hannah Frye, food truck and concerts committee chair.
The series runs every other Thursday through September. The concerts start at 6 p.m.
After Thursday’s performance from Sky Pilot, the rest of the schedule includes: Twisted Fate on June 18, Chain Reaction on July 2, My Own Worst 90s Band on July 16, East Coast Turnaround on July 30, Willow Hill on Aug. 13, Gary Pratt on Aug. 27 and Brothers Kelly on Sept. 10.
Vendors and food trucks are being announced on the event’s Facebook page.
