For Plum residents, the borough’s annual Summerfest is quickly approaching.
The festival is set to take place June 18 to 20 at Larry Mills Park in the Holiday Park section of Plum.
Festivities will run from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 18; from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 19; and from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 20.
Visitors can expect on-site carnival rides and food trucks featuring a variety of options, including barbecue, crepes, tacos, shaved ice and lemonade, according to Plum Director of BoroHaps Mona Costanza.
Plum Area Youth Soccer will sell beer and seltzers, the proceeds of which will go toward the borough’s Angel Fund, which helps purchase Christmas gifts for local families in need, according to Manager David Soboslay.
The local Rotary Club and American Legion will also run bingo games on June 19 and 20, Costanza said.
Festivities will conclude with a fireworks show on June 20 around 9:30 p.m. Costanza said.
Visitors can park on-site June 18, but motorists should take a free shuttle from the parking lot of nearby Amplify Church the subsequent two days, Constanza said, since on-site parking will be limited.
An all-day ride pass can be purchased at the event for $25, while a single-ride ticket will cost $4.
Last year, Costanza said, the borough sold around 1,000 all-day passes.
