Anna Jean Weisser graduated from the University of Georgia on May 7 with a Bachelor of Science in middle grades education.

Candy Lane Acres, a riding and training facility in Sewickley that specializes in hunters and equitation riding, won the Middle School Team Championship in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association Hunt Seat National Finals in St. Louis in April.
To win the title, Candy Lane Acres’ middle school team members had to beat out more than 600 middle school teams from across the country. The middle school team consisted of three girls, Scarlett Isenberg, a sixth grader from West Jefferson Hills School District; Cora McMillen, an eighth grader from Upper St. Clair School District; and Dylan Schillo, a sixth grader from Quaker Valley School District.

Megan Hilberg was inducted May 8 into Ohio Wesleyan University’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest academic honor society.

Ruby Hale graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in disability studies from Virginia Tech on May 15.

Mars Sturgill, a commercial music technology major, and Mia Perel, a veterinary technology major, made the dean’s list at PennWest University for the spring 2026 semester. Both study at the California campus.

Hunter Lubbert made the dean’s list at Rutgers University-New Brunswick for the spring 2026 semester.

Grace Heliger, Megan Hilberg and Nora Johns were named to the dean’s list at Ohio Wesleyan University for the spring 2026 semester.
