It frosts my petunia when I tune in a Pirates game and discover it is being broadcast exclusively on some steaming service. After all, I pay my cable company extra money every month to see these games, and I find it unfair to be asked to pay twice for the same service. If those money-grubbing streaming services want to show the game, fine. But local viewers who already have paid should not be asked to pay again.
My wife and I are in our 80s and can no longer get to the games. However, we do enjoy cracking open a cantaloupe and watching baseball on a summer evening.
I wish the FCC, Congress or someone would stand up for the little guy and correct this injustice. However, I won’t hold my breath.
