A day after officials confirmed they were investigating a tip about alleged inappropriate contact between Armstrong Jr.-Sr. High School staff and former students, the district says the investigation found no evidence of misconduct.
In a brief statement issued late Wednesday, the district said state police informed the district the investigation was complete.
“While the district cannot comment on individual personnel matters, the Pennsylvania State Police has advised the district that all investigations are complete, and there was no evidence of any misconduct by district staff,” the school district’s statement said. “We appreciate the prompt attention of our law enforcement partners tasked with the investigation of this matter.”
State Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
District Attorney Katie Charlton said in a statement Tuesday that state police were investigating an anonymous tip alleging misconduct between school staff and former Armstrong Jr.-Sr. High School students.
Charlton was not immediately available for comment Thursday and her office had not issued a statement on the results of the investigation.
Superintendent Jason Perrin’s office, in a statement Tuesday, said the district was aware of “rumors circulating about inappropriate relationships between students and staff.”
“The district cannot comment on confidential personnel matters,” the statement said. “The district has zero tolerance for any conduct that compromises student safety or well-being, and cooperates fully with our local and state law enforcement partners on any matter related to the safety of students and staff.”
