Tuition and most fees will not increase next school year for students at the Community College of Allegheny County.

CCAC’s Board of Trustees on Thursday approved a $121.7 million budget for next school year.

Tuition for Allegheny County residents holds at $130 per credit. The technology fee remains $23.25 per credit, student services fee at $8.25 per credit and the college fee at $6 per credit.

Out-of-county tuition costs will stay at $260 per credit. Out-of-state tuition is $390 per credit.

Full-time tuition for Allegheny County students will remain $1,950 per semester.

The only changes are with its lab fee schedule, which includes lab fees for three new courses, increased fees for one course, and deleting fees for one course.

“The CCAC Board of Trustees is pleased to be able to deliver a budget for the upcoming academic year that holds the line on tuition and nearly all fees for Allegheny County residents as well as in-state and out-of-state students,” said Kevin Kinross, chairman of the Board of Trustees.

“CCAC remains true to its mission, providing thousands of the region’s residents with affordable access to high-quality career and transfer education. The college’s in-county tuition remains in the lower quartile in the state, with 81% of CCAC students graduating debt-free.”

CCAC’s budget includes $118.4 million for operating expenditures, $1,038,500 for strategic initiatives, $635,000 for deferred maintenance and emergency funds and $890,000 for information technology infrastructure.
