Carnival fun coming to Lower Burrell

The Lower Burrell Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival will be Monday through Saturday at the Kinloch Fire Department, 915 New York Ave.

Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. and there will be rides, games and food. Bingo will be in the firehall.

Parking will be available in the main lot next to the boat repair shop, at the former Newport Business School and along both sides of Broadway Avenue behind the fire department. Parking attendants will direct traffic.

Carnival patrons are reminded not to walk along Greensburg Road or block or impede the local residents’ driveways, garages and walkways.


Drive-thru food distribution set Tuesday at Pittsburgh Mills

Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-thru food distribution for anyone in need from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in parking lot of the former JC Penney store at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer.

Reservations are not required. Do not arrive before 4 p.m. Guests should remain in their vehicles and open their door or trunk and will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
