Seton Hill sophomore Brady McGuire was named an American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings second-team All-American. It is the third All-American nod for the third baseman.
He also was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Year and the NCBWA and D2CCA Atlantic Regional Player of the Year.
McGuire led the PSAC with a .443 batting average and 54 RBIs, adding eight doubles, six home runs, 29 steals and 48 runs scored.
Baseball
Westmoreland County Community College: A pair of Wolfpack players received postseason recognition.
Sophomore pitcher Erik Streussnig was named go the All-Region 20 second team, while freshman infielder and pitcher Darren DeRiggi was an honorable mention selection.
Streussnig went 5-4 with a 2.98 ERA and a team-high 54 strikeouts in 57 1/3 innings this season. DeRiggi hit .373 with eight doubles, two triples, 36 runs and 36 RBIs.
Women’s golf
Westmoreland County Community College: Sophomore Jada Ford (Yough) carded her second consecutive top-10 finish at the NJCAA Division III Championships at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, N.Y.
Ford finished eighth (102, 100, 93, 99) in the tournament.
