Burtner House to celebrate 50th annual Strawberry Festival
Burtner House Restoration Society will sponsor its 50th annual Strawberry Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20 at the homestead, 1650 Burtner Road, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
There will be food trucks, a basket raffle, a local artisan market, tours of the homestead, Civil War reenactors and music.
Free parking will be available in the former Big Lots parking lot in Heights Plaza, 1726 Pacific Ave., Natrona Heights, and free shuttle service will take patrons to the homestead. No parking is available at the festival.

Fishing tourney to honor late Chief McIntire
The Chief’s Challenge, a family fun day and fishing tournament in memory of the late Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire, will be June 27 at the Outdoor Life Lodge, 538 Woodrow Lane, Fawn Township, rain or shine.
Sponsored in partnership with AKV Back the Blue, check-in will be at 9 a.m. and the fishing tournament will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be open fishing from 2 to 4 p.m. Entry fees are $20; children 6 to 15, $10; and general admission, $10.
