Two people were taken to the hospital following a rollover crash in Donegal Township on Wednesday night, according to emergency officials.

First responders were called to the intersection of routes 31 and 381 at 6:40 p.m. for a report of a motor home that had rolled over.

Emergency officials said the recreational vehicle, which was towing a Jeep behind it, tipped onto the hillside leading down to Indian Creek, and a man inside was still strapped to his seat and hanging out the vehicle’s window when they arrived.

The man was pulled from the motor home, and he and a woman in the vehicle were transported to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, according to Mutual Aid Ambulance spokesman Shawn Penzera.

The victims were believed to be a married couple in their 70s.

Their conditions were not available.

Route 31 remained closed as of 8 p.m. Wednesday night, 911 officials said.
