A man was found shot to death in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood Wednesday night, according to Pittsburgh police.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner on Thursday identified the man as Javar Williams, 18, of Wilmerding.

Police from Zone 6 responded to reports of a man shot in the 1200 block of Pritchard Street just before 7:30 p.m.

According to police, officers found the man inside of a residence with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police that the victim and another man had been involved in an altercation before the shooting happened. That man was taken to police headquarters for questioning.
