The Pittsburgh Steelers made a handful of roster moves on the eve of the end of organized team activities Thursday, signing receiver Joaquin Davis and cornerback Daryl Porter and releasing former Pitt long snapper Cal Adomitis in addition to offensive tackle Aiden Williams.
Davis stands 6-foot-4 and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds at his pro day at North Carolina Central last year. Undrafted, he spent much of the past year-plus on the offseason, preseason and practice-squad rosters of the Minnesota Vikings.
Porter joined the Steelers last year during training camp and spent virtually the entire regular season on the practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster for the Week 16 win at the Detroit Lions, playing four snaps.
Adomitis won the Mannelly Award as the college football’s top long snapper in 2021 and served in the role in the pros for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2022-24. He was signed to the Steelers’ practice squad late last season.
The Steelers have Christian Kuntz entrenched as their long snapper.
Williams signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent last year and spent all of training camp and the preseason with the team. Aside from six days on the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad, though, he was out of the NFL throughout the 2025 regular season.
Friday is the final OTA session of 2026. The Steelers’ next formal practice will be at Saint Vincent on July 29.
