Shooting at Penn Hills pool club
Penn Hills EMS officials said one person was transported to a hospital following a shooting late Saturday night at a pool club on Twin Oaks Drive.
Emergency responders were called to the Greater Pittsburgh Aquatic Club around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night. Witnesses told TribLive news partner WTAE they heard multiple gunshots.
More than 100 people were reportedly at the party, according to WTAE.
The victim’s condition was not immediately available.
Grill fire extinguished in Wilkins
Wilkins firefighters were called to a home on Roland Road around 4 a.m. Saturday morning, where they extinguished a fire along the side of a house.
Fire officials said the blaze began due to charcoal from a recently used grill that had not been fully extinguished after cooking. Firefighters said more than six hours after the homeowner had dumped the charcoal in the trash, it caught fire and scorched the bricks on one side of the house.
No one was injured.
2 taken to hospital after Salem crash
Mutual Aid Ambulance transported two people to Forbes Hospital after a crash and vehicle fire Saturday night in Salem.
First responders were called to the intersection of Business Route 66 and Old Route 66 near Tuttle’s Auto Body for a report of a two-vehicle crash shortly before 10:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they found one of the cars had caught fire with a person trapped inside.
