Sabrina Bryan scored in the 21st minute to help the Pittsburgh Riveters score a 1-0 victory over Erie Sports Center (1-5-0) at Saxon Stadium on Sunday evening.
Bryan buried a diagonal feed from Riverview grad Lola Abraham, finding the bottom corner of the net with a second touch for her fourth goal of the season. It was Abraham’s third assist of the campaign.
It was the fifth straight shutout for the Riveters, who improved to 6-0-1 this season. The defending division champion Riveters remain atop the Great Forest Division.
The Riveters defense did not allow a shot on goal against keeper Lexi Grundler, who had a fourth consecutive clean sheet.
Gabby Lamparty was named the player of the match for her work at center back in securing a shutout.
The Riveters will return home to play the Cleveland Force (2-4-0) at 6 p.m. June 21 at F.N.B. Stadium.
