The Pennsylvania State Tax Equalization Board has set the Common Level Ratio for 2027 tax assessment appeals at 49.3%. As a result of this change, thousands of properties are now over-assessed.
The attorneys at Robert Peirce & Associates, P.C. can help you appeal your unfair property tax assessment.
Working with an attorney that is familiar with local property tax laws and has a proven track record of successful appeals is essential to help you challenge your property assessment. For over 40 years, Bob Peirce has successfully represented tens of thousands of Allegheny County commercial and residential property owners through the appeals process to receive property tax reductions.
“We believe that thousands of property owners are over-assessed currently, and the only way to prove this is to file an appeal before September 1, 2026,” said Peirce. Our firm will file the appeal for you, present evidence of market value, attend your hearing, and if we are able to reduce your assessment, our fee is one-third of the total tax savings.
“If there are no savings, then there is no fee,” said Peirce.
The time to file a tax assessment appeal for 2027 is July 1, 2026 through September 1, 2026.
Again, if your property is not worth at least double what you paid for it, you should contact our office and investigate an appeal. If you are unsure of your property’s value, our office can help you with that, as well. All you need to do is call Bob Peirce, and he will let you know if your assessment can and should be reduced.
