All three of Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s light rail lines are experiencing delays following a power outage on Thursday.
The outage occurred before noon at PRT’s South Hills Village station, where light rail cars turn around on their routes, according to agency spokesman Adam Brandolph.
He added that the outage was caused by an “electrical issue,” but PRT did not know its specific cause.
While service at the South Hills Village station was back online as of 2 p.m., Brandolph said commuters should expect delays up to 30 minutes for the next two hours. Service should return to normal by the afternoon rush hour, he said.
