North Allegheny continued its reign as a boys volleyball powerhouse this spring, capturing its 10th PIAA title and 24th WPIAL championship in Class 3A.
Likewise, Shaler claimed a fourth straight district crown, defeating South Fayette for the Class 2A trophy.
Top players from all three of those teams have been recognized for their efforts in guiding their teams’ success.
The Western PA Volleyball Coaches Association and Trib HSSN have selected North Allegheny’s Will Robertson in Class 3A and Shaler’s Adam Hoffman and South Fayette’s Dilsher Goraya in Class 2A as the 2026 boys volleyball players of the year.

Class 3A
Player of the Year
Will Robertson
Sr., 6-2, OH, North Allegheny
Robertson capped a decorated North Allegheny career with section, WPIAL and PIAA championships and a 17-0 season when the Tigers defeated Landisville Hempfield, 3-1, to claim a 10th state title June 13.
Robertson had 16 kills that day on the court at Penn State, where he will continue his volleyball career next season. Also named North Allegheny’s athlete of the year, Robertson eclipsed 1,000 career kills this season when he had 322 kills, a .385 hitting percentage, 38 aces, 186 digs and 37 total blocks. Robertson finished third in career kills, second in career digs and fourth in career aces for the Tigers.
He is a four-time all-section selection along with garnering three all-WPIAL and all-state honors. He also was named the WPIAL Class 3A player of the year twice.
Peter Bratich
Sr., 6-7, MH, North Allegheny
The man in the middle for North Allegheny again made a major impact on the Tigers’ success. A three-time all-section, all-WPIAL and all-state player, Bratich produced 199 kills and a .433 hitting percentage for the WPIAL and PIAA champions. He added 84 blocks, 48 digs and seven aces.
Malachi DeGraaf
Sr., 6-0, OH, Seneca Valley
DeGraaf is a two-time all-WPIAL and all-section selection who helped the Raiders reach the PIAA tournament after finishing third in the WPIAL. The Cornerstone commit compiled 260 kills, 195 digs, 66 aces and 21 blocks this season at outside hitter.
Alex Kelly
Sr., 6-2, OH, Baldwin
Kelly earned all-section honors for the third straight season after he had 221 kills, 19 blocks, 12 assists and 110 digs with eight aces. The all-WPIAL selection and Washington & Jefferson commit helped Baldwin win the Section 4 title and reach the WPIAL semifinals.
Andrew Slaugenhoup
Sr., 6-2, OH, Butler
Slaugenhoup was one of the top hitters in the WPIAL this season with 242 kills and a .270 hitting percentage for the WPIAL runner-up Golden Tornado. A two-time all-section and all-WPIAL selection, the Penn State Behrend commit added 84 blocks, 22 aces and 169 digs this season. He had 12 kills and four blocks against Dallastown in the PIAA first round and helped Butler reach the PIAA semifinals before falling to North Allegheny.
Doolin Stober
Sr., 6-9, MH, Pine-Richland
The Ohio State-bound middle hitter compiled an eye-opening 344 kills this season as Pine-Richland finished 9-7 overall. Stober was a four-time all-section honoree, three-time all-WPIAL pick and all-state selection. The towering middle hitter added 35 blocks, 34 aces and 83 digs this spring.
Class 2A
Co-Player of the Year
Dilsher Goraya
Sr., 6-3, OH, South Fayette
South Fayette reached the WPIAL finals for the first time this season and also earned its first PIAA playoff victory. Goraya was a major reason why.
The three-time all-section and all-WPIAL selection averaged just over five kills per set while recording 379 kills and a hitting average of over .320 with 56 serving aces.
The Lions, who fell to Shaler in the WPIAL championship match, earned a 3-1 victory over Central (Martinsburg) in the PIAA Class 2A first round behind 37 kills from Goraya.
He plans to attend Pitt in the fall.
Co-Player of the Year
Adam Hoffman
Sr., 6-5, RSH, Shaler
A Dayton-bound right-side hitter, Hoffman helped guide the Titans to a fourth straight WPIAL championship, including the past two in Class 2A. Shaler finished 17-2 and reached the PIAA quarterfinals before falling to Meadville.
The towering senior is a two-time all-section and all-WPIAL selection and was an all-state pick last spring.
This season, he accumulated 148 kills, along with 36 blocks, 56 digs and 16 aces and had a .485 hitting efficiency.
Brandon Aryee
Jr., 6-4, MH, Shaler
Aryee helped anchor the WPIAL Class 2A champion’s front line with 144 kills and 64 blocks. He added 18 aces and 85 digs and had a .365 hitting efficiency. Aryee is a two-time all-section and two-time all-WPIAL selection who had 10 blocks and seven kills in the WPIAL championship match victory over South Fayette.
Quinn Leroux
Sr., 6-5, MH, South Fayette
Leroux earned a third straight appearance on the all-section team and a second all-WPIAL honor this season after helping South Fayette reach the WPIAL Class 2A final and PIAA quarterfinals. The standout middle hitter had 11 kills in a PIAA first-round win over Central (Martinsburg). He had 160 kills this season and 23 solo blocks. He plans to attend Tennessee. His older sister Ava plays basketball at Robert Morris, and his twin sister Juliette will play basketball at Florida Atlantic. Their father, Francois, played 10 seasons in the NHL, including three with the Penguins.
Hakeim McKenzie V
Jr., 6-0, S, Seton LaSalle
McKenzie continued his impressive career with a strong season for the Section 3-2A champion Rebels, compiling 109 kills, 52 aces, 478 assists and 121 digs with 14 blocks and 19 block assists. He is a three-time all-section selection, two-time all-WPIAL pick and was an all-state honoree last year.
Declan Sipe
Sr., 6-1, OH, Seton LaSalle
Sipe, a Washington & Jefferson recruit, earned all-section honors for the fourth time this spring after he had 264 kills and a .283 hitting percentage. The three-time all-WPIAL honoree added 38 aces, 127 digs and four blocks for the Rebels, who finished third in the WPIAL and advanced to the PIAA tournament.
