Former Primanti Bros. CEO Adam Golomb’s The Markham Team has added Pittsburgh’s only two Smoothie King locations to its portfolio, Golomb recently announced on social media.
Golomb said closing on the brick-and-mortar location in Pine and the drive-thru setup in Bridgeville’s Chartiers Valley Shopping Center brings his operation’s tally to 12 Smoothie King locations in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey following a previous transaction in April.
Smoothie King offers relatively healthy smoothies, bowls and bites in a fast-food format.
“Pittsburgh, we’re home,” said Golomb. “We’re growing fast and we’re just getting started.”
No stranger to some of Pittsburgh’s most familiar brand names, Golomb left his position as CEO of regionally iconic sandwich shop chain Primanti Bros in early 2025 after a six-year run serving in various executive roles.
He previously spent six years in high-level marketing positions at regional grocery chain Giant Eagle and 13 years at national casual family dining chain Eat ‘n Park.
A message left with Golomb for further information was not immediately returned.
