The Salvation Army with the Toyota Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association (TLMODA) will sponsor food distribution events at 24 Toyota/Lexus member dealerships across the United States on Friday. According to a news release, North Hills Toyota on McKnight Road will host the event and has provided 200 food boxes valued at $50 each to help local families in need. Anyone currently in need of food is welcome to attend, with no questions asked. Each box contains chicken, fresh produce, milk, cheese and a variety of nonperishable food items. All social distancing precautions will be taken, and recipients are asked not to leave their cars. Volunteers will place the food box into the cars. The event begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until all boxes are distributed or by 2 p.m. Have news to share?
