Hosanna House Awarded $1.6 Million

Hosanna House was recently awarded $1.6 Million to the advancement of the Wilkinsburg Community.

Congressman Chris Deluzio arrived for the official press conference at the Hosanna House to officially hand the check to Hosanna House Founding Chief Executive Officer, Leon Haynes.

The funds will go towards the Penn Lincoln Apartments development deal.

This is a great opportunity for the neighborhood. There will be 41 apartments and 12,000 square foot commercial space at the bottom.

"I'm excited for the opportunity because it makes me believe that others see the beauty in Wilkinsburg the way that I do. My neighborhood is a gem. I also hope that the housing is affordable and provides nice places to stay for mothers like me," Carlita James.

Press and Wilkinsburg leaders gathered to celebrate the neighborhood and its bright future.
