The Pittsburgh Pirates released their 2025 spring training schedule Thursday afternoon, featuring a total of 31 Grapefruit League games, 15 of which will be played at the club’s LECOM Park in Bradenton, Fla.
Opening Day for the Pirates this spring will be Feb. 22 against the Baltimore Orioles in Sarasota, Fla.
Their home opener will be played the following day, Feb. 23, against the Minnesota Twins.
Spring training will include a home game vs. the Boston Red Sox on March 4 and two against the Philadelphia Phillies on March 7 and 18.
On March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, the Pirates will play a pair of split-squad games, at home vs. the Twins and on the road vs. the Detroit Tigers.
The Pirates’ final home spring training game is March 22 vs. the Baltimore Orioles, and they’ll conclude things March 24 on the road vs. Minnesota.
