According to authorities, a man with a cane walked into the Grant Street entrance of the Allegheny County Courthouse at 9 a.m. on Monday. When the cane was put through the scanner, officers noticed two sharp instruments inside and notified deputies. Officials say they found a 4-inch dagger and a 4-inch fork-type dagger inside the cane. The man was taken into custody and faces charges, including possession of a weapon in a court facility. According to a criminal complaint, the man told officials he was unaware of what was concealed in the cane.
