Share Share Share Back in 1982, some of the most treasured pieces of the Pittsburgh Steelers' legacy were put on display to celebrate the milestone of the franchise's 50th season. From the WTAE archives: See the exclusive Steelers memorabilia in the video above! Just inside the doors of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Steelers history unfolded with collections of photographs from the teams of the 1930s through the 1980s. Visitors could see posters of the Steelers' All-Time Team, and continuous videotapes of Pittsburgh's four Super Bowl victories. Art Rooney's rings from Super Bowls IX, X, XIII and XIV were included in the exhibit, along with original game jerseys worn by Franco Harris, Joe Greene and many other black-and-gold greats. If that wasn't enough, busts from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, were in the building, too. "It's the first time that anything was ever let out of the Hall of Fame, and we brought them here and they're worth seeing," said Stan Cohen, designer of the project. "We have Art Rooney, we have Bert Bell, we have (Ernie) Stautner. We have everybody that is in the Hall of Fame that has to do with the Steelers. There's eight of them."
