Thomas J. Finn, 81, of West Deer Township, lost his five year battle with Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, with his family by his side. Tom was born July 20, 1943, in New Kensington, to the late Edward P. and Clara (Kaminski) Finn, Sr. Tom was a 1961 graduate of Ken High School. Following high school, he went to work for PNC Bank in their computer division, becoming a manager in the computer division and working for PNC for over 42 years. Tom served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Tec 4. He moved to West Deer in 1971, living here for the past 53 years. Tom was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer, volunteering at the annual Community Fish Fry for many years. Following retirement, Tom worked for the Siwicki -Yanicko Funeral Home as a hearse driver, a job he loved since he always wanted to be in the funeral industry. He loved to garden, fish, hunt, and go to his camp, though he loved spending time with his family most of all. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Cheryl J. (Usiadek) Finn; his sons, Shawn T. (Kristy) Finn of Mars and Todd M. Finn of West Deer; grandchildren, Hudson, Adam, Ryder, Angelina, Trinity, and Noah; along with his brother, Edward P. (Geraldine) Finn of Lower Burrell. Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where parting prayers will be conducted at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, with a Funeral Mass following at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Victor Church, with the Rev. Brendan Dawson, officiating. Tom will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
