Edward J. Moses Jr., 85, passed away, Monday, Sept. 2, 2024. He was born Aug. 15, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Edward and Stella (Myjewski) Moses Sr. Ed began his career as a Metallurgist, and started his own company, Specialty Alloy Processing. He enjoyed running his business, and hunting with his family, but most of all, spending time with family. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his son, David Moses. Ed will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marlene (Katavitch) Moses; sons, Ed (Karen) Moses from Alabama, John (Karen) Moses of Ohio; daughter, Maureen (Dave) Derry of Irwin; brother, Tom (Val) Moses of Pittsburgh; sisters, Nina (Jim) Malsch of Bath, Mary Ann (Frank) Russen of Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was a proud grandfather of Heather (Jon) Vick, Nathan Derry, Courtney (John) Lloyd, Demi (Lian) Moses, Haley (Nate) Haller, E.J Moses IV, Hannah Moses; great-grandchildren, 'Prince Philip,' and Brooks. All loved dearly. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 463 Athena Dr., Delmont (724-468-1177).
