Douglas A. 'Chumdog' McCormick, 59, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in his home. He was born Feb. 12, 1965, in Greensburg, a son of the late William F. and Edith Fay 'Dolly' (Gray) McCormick. Doug had worked as a parts technician for Smail Acura in Greensburg. He was a member of Fort Allen Fireman's Club, Roosevelt Club, and Hecla Sportsman's Club. Doug was a volunteer firefighter for Midway-St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years and Carbon Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years. He is survived by his significant partner, Anita Uncapher, of Greensburg; three siblings, Nancy Siegfried (Dick), of Ohio, Phil Laurella (Janet), of Greensburg, and Bill McCormick (Jamie), of GA; several nieces and nephews; and three fur babies, Bubba, Gizmo, and Trump. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Carbon Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m.,Thursday, in the funeral home.
