Keely E. Savage, 38, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024. She was born on May 26, 1986, and was the daughter of Christa Savage and the late Sam Perpiglia. She grew up in Penn Hills, and was a graduate of Penn Hills High School in 2004. She furthered her education by earning her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Penn State University in 2009, as well as Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology at Chatham University in 2016. Growing up she was an active member at Hebron United Presbyterian Church. She was also involved in youth groups doing many outreach programs along the way. Over the years, Keely explored many positions within the mental health field. Her main focus was working with adolescents and young adults. She had an extreme empathy for helping others. Her smile was contagious and could be seen from miles away. Her love was fierce. In many ways, she was so good at loving and in other ways, she became so exhausted by it. There was something incredibly special about her and her drive to make the world a better place. Her strong beliefs made a huge impact on others she came in contact with. Keely found the greatest companionship within her dogs, Ruby, Lucy, Kaya, and Kali. She is survived by her mother, Christa Savage; and a sister, Erica Savage of Pittsburgh; her grandparents, Ned and Carol Pfundt of Plum; her grandfather, Danny Savage of Natrona Heights; and many other close relatives that will miss her dearly. In addition to her father, Sam Perpiglia, she was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Henry and Stella Manchini. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., until the time of service at 6:30 p.m., in the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall, PA 15215. Burial will be private. A celebration of Keely's life will be scheduled at a later date. To share an online condolence, please visit www.weddellajak.com.
