About
Pittsburgh North Optimist Foundation
is a voluntary, organization of local civic-minded men and women motivated by the desire to contribute to the community. By believing in young people and empowering them to be the best they can, Optimist volunteers continually make this world a better place to live. Every year the Pittsburgh North Optimist Club gives away between $10,000 and $20,000 to local youth related organizations in the Pittsburgh Area. In the past we have supported a wide veriety of organizations such as: youth baseball for both boys and girls, Every Day Hero Program, Ray Shaffer Boxing Club, Aspinwall Civic Association, Child Watch, Boyd Community Center, Fox Chapel District Association, Pancreatic Cancer Research, Tickets for Kids, Lauri Ann West Library, Sharpsburg V.F.W., Friends of the Riverfront, Girls Hope of Pittsburgh, Christmas Toys for Children, Big Brothers and Sisters and others. Our fund raisers are always fun and well supported by the community.
