Faye S. (Strickler) Hardy, 98, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday Oct. 5, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was born March 30, 1926 in Uniontown, the daughter of the late Harry Cox Strickler and Jessie Olive (Ball) Strickler and was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, William W. Hardy and a brother Robert Strickler. She was a retired registered nurse having worked 23 years at the former Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin. She is survived by her children Susan Ferrell (Kenneth) of Naples, FL, Eileen Hardy (Keith Noble) of Frankfurt, KY, and William H. Hardy (Joanne) and Robert Hardy (Debra) both of North Huntingdon; her grandchildren, William C. Hardy (Colleen), Rebecca Hamilton (Vic Choltco), Bethany Dressler (Mark), Brianna Pavlik (Joseph), Emily Hardy (Matthew Hermesmann), Rachel Ramsey (Kyler), Carrie Martini (Charles), Elizabeth Witty (Ethan); and great grandchildren William Hardy, Elyse Hardy, and McKenzie Hamilton. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 7, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, in the First Presbyterian Church, 617 Main St., Irwin. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon.
