Juniper Celebrates National Assisted Living Week with a Week of Joyful Events!
– Juniper Village at Monroeville, an outstanding personal care community, celebrated National Assisted Living Week in style with a series of heartwarming and fun-filled activities, bringing residents and associates together in a meaningful and memorable way. This week-long celebration is dedicated to recognizing the vital role assisted living communities play in enhancing the lives of their residents, while also celebrating the strong bonds formed within the community. The festivities kicked off on Sunday, with a beautiful reception that set the tone for the week. Residents and guests were welcomed with stunning floral arrangements from Laura's Floral Boutique, colorful balloons, and a delightful selection of tarts and refreshing fruit-flavored water. The celebration continued with watching a lively Steelers game and an afternoon of bingo, creating a joyous and energetic start to the week. On Monday, the community came together for a delicious lunch provided by Bridges Hospice and Ruby's Subs, while residents were serenaded with the sounds of a sing-along led by the talented Gail Griffith. The day was made even more magical with a show by Magician Chuck Caputo and a presentation of a gift basket from KraftasticGiftShop that left both residents and associates with smiles on their faces. The pampering continued on Tuesday, with a luxurious spa day. Residents were treated to gentle massages and exfoliating scrubs, offering a day of relaxation and self-care. The culinary team outdid themselves with a delicious spread, and Rehab Director and physical therapist, Heather Cox made the day even sweeter with an apple cider bar. Congratulations were in order for the lucky winners of the special basket raffle! Wednesday was all about glamour, as the community celebrated "Glamour Shot Day." Associate Tess brought out the best in everyone, using colorful makeup palettes, fun feathered boas, pearls, and sunglasses to create a festive atmosphere. Residents and staff alike enjoyed sparkling water, champagne, and indulgent chocolate-covered strawberries, adding an extra touch of elegance to the day. A beautiful flower arrangement from Laura's Floral Boutique graced the event, and the day concluded with another exciting basket raffle. The festivities continued on Thursday, with a fun-filled Nacho Bar provided by Gateway Hospice, offering residents and associates a chance to relax and enjoy some delicious, cheesy goodness. Laughter and conversation flowed as everyone gathered to savor the tasty treats and wear crazy hats, adding a festive touch to the week's celebrations. On Friday, the excitement didn't stop as the community was treated to a delicious Olive Garden lunch, courtesy of Suncrest Hospice. A highlight of the day was the special appearance of the Kona Ice Truck, which delighted everyone with refreshing, sweet icy treats, perfect for cooling off on a warm day. The week-long celebration wrapped up with a thoughtful gesture from Juniper's Wellness team, who provided coffee and donuts for associates on all shifts. This sweet surprise was a perfect way to show appreciation for the dedicated associates, reminding everyone how valued and essential they are to the Juniper community. National Assisted Living Week serves as a reminder of the profound impact that assisted living communities like Juniper have on their residents' lives. The week's events not only nurtured the spirit but also strengthened the bonds between residents and associates, creating lasting memories.
