Swifties: this one’s for you.
In anticipation of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, reportedly taking place this weekend, Oakmont Bakery is offering Taylor Swift-themed portrait cookies.
Her upcoming marriage to NFL star Travis Kelce has been a hot topic of discussion online since they announced their engagement last August.
This isn’t the first time Oakmont Bakery has made cookies for fans of the Grammy Award-winning pop star.
In 2023, Oakmont Bakery released Eras Tour cookies. Last summer, the bakery made Swift-Kelce engagement cookies to celebrate — and offered to bake the couple’s wedding cake. The Eras Tour cookies are still available for purchase on the bakery’s website.
Michael Sullivan, general store manager at Oakmont Bakery, said the bakery has released these baked goods in a way that chronicles the pop star’s life, career and connection to Pittsburgh.
“It’s been … kind of following her journey,” Sullivan said.
According to Sullivan, the family that owns Oakmont Bakery is packed with Swifties.
Their expertise in Swift’s discography comes through in the latest batch of cookies, which are decorated with rustic and floral images behind lyrics from some of her most romantic songs.
Sullivan said the design is meant to capture what Swift’s wedding might actually feel like.
“She’s the closest thing we have to royalty,” Sullivan said. “So this is such a big wedding for all the fans.”
Sullivan said the cookies will definitely be available in the days leading up to the wedding, and possibly afterward if customers love the designs.
So far, it’s safe to say fans are excited.
The shelves near the bakery’s front entrance where the cookies have been displayed were almost empty after just one day of release.
“It’s so fun because in a day where there’s so much content out there — so much music — you don’t get superstars like we used to,” Sullivan said. “It’s fun to have a superstar that everyone can get behind.”
